White Pagoda
The White Pagoda is the symbol of Lamaism. Up to now, the legend of setting up the pagoda overnight is still popular in Yangzhou. The Pagoda matches well in size and stands slim and graceful, different from that Beihai Pagoda in Beijing. The primitive and tranquil Lianxin Temple as well as the Pagoda in a serene and solemn religion atmosphere serve to purify human souls. Qingyun Hall and pavilions linked with the veranda of brown walls amidst verdant trees against white clouds and blue sky are well set off with the Pagoda.
