Five Pavilion Bridge
Five Pavilion Bridge, another name for Lotus Flower Bridge, is the city emblem of Yangzhou. It looks like a big and beautiful lotus flower from a bird's eye view. The bridge was built in 1757, the twenty second year under the reign of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. The architecture follows both Five Dragons Pavilion in Beihai, Beijing and Seventeen Arches Bridge. "With five pavilions above and five wings below, each of the bridge arches seeming to hold a moon when the moon is in full shape, the beauty of which is indescribable." The architecture blends the magnificence of northern China with the charm of southern China. กก
